Indie Rock fans rejoice! Death Cab for Cutie embarks on the I Built You A Tower World Tour with their first stop in St. Louis on Friday, July 24th, 2026 at the Stifel theater. The show will feature an 8:00 PM performance by Death Cab for Cutie, and will be preceded by an 7:00 PM set by Brooklyn’s synth-pop act Nation of Language.

After signing with ANTI- Records the legendary band Death Cab for Cutie, lead by Ben Gibbard and the rest of the band will be embarking on a tour across the world for their eleventh and latest studio release, I Built You A Tower, out everywhere June 5th, 2026. Fans can look forward to being able to hear some of their classic songs such as “I Will Follow You Into the Dark” and “Soul Meets Body” as well as many other songs off of the recently released album.

After leaving Cantora Records, the Brooklyn-based synth-pop group Nation of Language will open for the evening with songs from their epic album, Dance Called Memory, a beautiful collection of songs that evoke hypnotic hits such as those from their earlier work.

Starting at $63, tickets are on sale now for the Stifel Theater’s 3,100-capacity space for this can’t miss show with doors at 7:00 PM and the show at 8:00 PM.

Death Cab for Cutie is a very influential indie rock band of the last few years of music. The band was created in Bellingham, Washington in 1997 by singer/guitarist Ben Gibbard. As a band, Death Cab for Cutie has been nominated for 10 Grammys with two nominations for Best Alternative Music Album and Best Rock Album. Some of the band’s most popular songs are “I Will Follow You Into the Dark,” “Soul Meets Body,” “I Will Possess Your Heart,” “You Are a Tourist,” and “Here to Forever.” Their new 2026 album I Built You A Tower is their first release with ANTI- Records. 

Nation of Language

Nation of Language, Brooklyn’s extraordinary synth-pop-trance-post-punk outfit, will be opening for the monumental night of indie-rock performances by the renowned band, and fans can expect a truly unforgettable evening. Founded in 1997 and consisting of Ben Gibbard, Chris Walla, Nick Harmer, and Jason Kerssen in Bellingham, WA, Death Cab for Cutie is known for being one of the most recognizable groups in the world of indie rock. They have garnered multiple Grammy nominations, including for Best Alternative Music Album and Best Rock Album. Stifel theatre Information

The Stifel Theatre is a historic theater in downtown St. Louis, MO. Located at 1400 Market Street, the theatre was originally completed in 1934 as part of the Municipal Auditerium. The Stifel Theatre has recently been completely restored to its original grandeur. The theater offers seating in the Orchestra, Loge, Balcony and Loge Boxes. In addition, there is accessible seating throughout the venue. The two story front lobby of the Stifel Theatre is a wonderful place to view theater memorabilia and take in the beauty of the historic theater’s architecture.

There is preferred parking by several operators including Central Parking, CitiPark, S&H Parking and St. Louis Parking with lots near the Stifel Theatre. Street parking is also available on 14th and 15th Streets between Market and Chestnut Streets on the street level. Some of the spots are marked ADA accessible. Temporary metered parking is available in the downtown St. Louis area. ParkMobile and ParkWhiz are two options to reserve a parking spot in advance that are connected to the venue.
